If you want to know the living God, not as the world wants Him to be, but as He really is; if you appreciate the value of historic truth, and you want the opportunity to experience God’s new life now – then I can say that Christchurch is for you.

You will find directions and details about our fellowship and ministries on this site, so please make use of them at your leisure and feel free to consider just what God has done and is doing in our midst – and what He wants to do in your life. We think He’s blessed us wonderfully in our time already and we’ve never doubted His guidance and care. I think that’s what makes this church so special.

This congregation is far and away the finest parish I have ever served in over thirty-five years of ministry. They are truly like my family and I know they can be a wonderful family for you. It is a vibrant, healthy, active and growing Anglican congregation that hasn’t yet begun to glimpse its incredible future. Some of us are longtime believers, members from other, former churches and some of us are brand new in the faith. We are individuals and families of all ages. But we all believe that the historic, orthodox faith in the Lord Jesus Christ still has the unquestioned power to change lives. That’s why one of the songs we sing says it best: “We are one in the Spirit!”

In fact, our earliest Prayer for Christchurch – written in 2005 – included these words:

Give us the Mind of Christ to discern our next step, the power of the Spirit to take it, and the faith to leave our destination in your hands.

I suggest those words sum up perfectly the people of Christchurch. No matter how many years this church exists, no matter how many generations of Christians worship here, no matter how many times believers leave this house to take the Good News to a waiting world, those words will always be our prayer and a great prayer for living life. I invite you to let it become yours as well.
