It is with excitement and anticipation that Christchurch begins making plans to purchase a pipe organ for our new sanctuary on Vaughn Road. Follow our progress as we strive to raise $365,000 in 365 days.

Singing Valentines!

Would you like to surprise your sweetheart on Valentine’s Day weekend with a singing Valentine? Now you can do just that because the Christchurch Quartet is available to come to your home and sing for your loved one. You can surprise him/her not only with a love song, but also with roses.
 
The singing Valentines will be delivered on two dates: Saturday, Feb 13th, and Sunday afternoon, Feb 14th. Reservations are required and time slots are limited, so call early to secure a spot in you loved one’s heart! Call Jerry or Norma Tonnell (277-2964) for more details & arrangements for reservations. Cost of the Singing Valentine is $100.00. Proceeds go to benefit the Christchurch Pipe Organ Fund.

Candlelight Harpsichord Concert

Christchurch’s Candlelight Harpsichord Concert will be Wednesday, December 2nd, at 6:00 p.m. at Dexter Avenue United Methodist Church here in Montgomery. This free concert will feature chamber works of Mozart and Corelli, along with choral works by the Christchurch Chancel Choir and soloists. This evening of Christmas music will be played by Margaret Cauthen, harpsichord; Liana Gourdjia, violin fellow with the Montgomery Symphony; Dan Totan, cello fellow with the symphony; and Dr. Robert Scott, flautist. Michele Lott and Leah Dubberly will present Christmas vocal solos. This year the concert will be given in order to raise funds for the Christchurch pipe organ to be placed in the new church facility at 8800 Vaughn Road, Montgomery. A champagne and dessert reception will be given in the fellowship hall after the program. Tickets for the reception can be purchased from the church for a donation of $20 each beginning November 1st. The public is invited to join Christchurch in welcoming the Christmas Season with a night of musical joy. Please call the church office for more information at 334-387-0566.
