XPerience the Difference

Nursery

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them,
for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.  Matthew 19:14

Mrs. Tara Harris
Director of Child Care:

When you visit Christchurch, you will feel comfortable leaving your young children in the hands of our paid childcare providers. All employees are carefully screened and trained. Background checks are done through the Department of Human Resources and our providers are CPR and first-aid trained. Staff training and written procedures ensure that our childcare facilities are safe and sanitary.
We believe your child is a special gift from God, so we want to provide the best love and care possible.

General Information
Childcare facilities will be open 30 minutes prior to regular church services.
The Childcare Center is made up of three rooms:
-- Infants and Crawlers (birth to 12 months)
-- Walkers and Toddlers (12 months to 24 months)
--  Potty-trained 2-year olds, 3-year olds and 4-year olds will be combined for some activities and divided for others.
In order for the care givers to be aware of each child's specific needs, parents need to complete an information card and then update the information on the card periodically.
Bring diapers, pacfiers, bottles and a change of clothes for your child. Label all items with your child's name.

 Childcare and Sign-in and Sign-Out
In
The Childcare Ministry's number paging system prevents anyone other than the parent from picking up a child. As you sign in your child, you will receive a numbered pager. The same number will be put on your child's back.
Out
To pick your child up, simply return the numbered pager and sign your child out. A child will only be given to a parent with the pager.

Health and Safety
We ask that neither parents or siblings enter the Childcare Center rooms as it upsets the children.
Parents should report any allergies to the child's teacher.
Children who are sick, have had a fever within the last 24 hours, have colored mucus from the nose, are coughing, vomiting, have skin rash, etc., will not be allowed in the Childcare Center.
If your child develops a fever or other symptoms, we will page you so that you can take your child home.
No medications will be given to any child in the Childcare Center.
Please refrain from giving your child gum or candy before coming to class. It can be dangerous and messy.
The Childcare Center bedding is changed after each use. Bed and toys are wiped down with a sterilized solution after each session.
The childcare providers sterilize and wipe down changing tables after each change. Plastic gloves are used during a diaper change and hands washed thoroughly afterward.
If your child's class moves out of their assigned room, a note will be posted on the door letting you know of your child's new location.

For the safety of your child, the childcare providers cannot be responsible for special
inistructions unless they are in writing and hand delivered to the Director of Childcare.
